The question I find when I teach my students this is that they think that the MLA Format is not going to work for their material.The truth is that the MLA Format is best suited for research materials, which include information that may be of two or more levels. It is important that they make the connection to the sentence that they are connected to so that the reader understands what you are saying.Here is another element of the footnotes that is very important to the sentences. The writer is expected to do a paragraph break. In fact, it would be the easiest thing to do because it is the only thing that will help them when they write their own paper.Us ing both of these elements of the MLA is a good strategy to have for any student who is working on their own research.
